Frequently Asked Questions
What makes Concrete Cornhole boards different from traditional wood boards? Our boards are handcrafted from high-strength glass-fiber reinforced concrete (+10,000 psi). They’re all-weather, won’t warp, rot, or splinter, and deliver a smooth, consistent playing surface with minimal bounce. They’re designed to look like architectural outdoor furniture while playing exceptionally well season after season.
How much do the boards weigh? Standard boards weigh approximately 135 lbs each. We also offer custom-weight options ranging higher (up to several hundred pounds per board) for commercial or permanent installations that need extra stability.
Are the boards regulation size? Yes. Our boards follow standard cornhole dimensions so the game feels familiar while offering a more refined, controlled experience.
Do the bags bounce a lot on concrete? No. The smooth, sealed surface is engineered so bags glide cleanly with very little bounce—many players prefer it to wood.
Can I leave the boards outside year-round? Absolutely. They’re built for all-weather outdoor use. The sealed finish protects against rain, sun, and temperature swings with minimal maintenance.
How do I maintain the boards? Very little is required. Occasional cleaning with mild soap and water is usually enough. The sealed surface resists staining and keeps the boards looking sharp for years.
Where are the boards made? All of our concrete cornhole boards and fire pits are handmade in the USA by our small family-owned business in the San Diego area.
Who buys Concrete Cornhole boards? Homeowners looking for a high-end backyard upgrade, as well as restaurants, resorts, wineries, breweries, apartment complexes, schools, and other commercial spaces that want durable, low-maintenance outdoor entertainment.
What’s the difference between your board styles? We offer a few designs, including the Forma (clean, minimalist lines), the classic All-Weather set, a Floating style, and custom-weight versions. All share the same high-strength concrete construction and smooth sealed finish.
Can these be used commercially? Yes. Many of our boards go into commercial settings. The heavier custom-weight options are especially popular for permanent outdoor installations.
Do you make fire pits too? Yes. We also handcraft architectural concrete fire pits in the same high-strength glass-fiber reinforced concrete. You can view them on our Fire Features page.
How long does it take to receive my order? Standard boards take 4–6 weeks to make (cure, finish, and inspect) before they ship, then freight transit is typically 2–7 business days. All in, plan on about 4–7 weeks from order to delivery. Custom logo or weight orders may take a bit longer, and we’ll keep you updated once your order is placed.
Logos & Custom Branding
Can I add a custom logo to my boards? Yes. We offer custom logo options for both residential and commercial clients.
What logo methods do you offer? We have two high-quality options:
1. Concrete Stain (Our Preferred Method) The logo is applied using a professional concrete stain. It can be made one or two shades darker than the board for a subtle, elegant look, or outlined in different colors for more contrast.
This is our favorite option because the stain becomes part of the concrete itself and lasts an extremely long time outdoors. After staining, every board is protected with a premium exterior-grade sealer — one of the best on the market for durability and UV resistance.
2. UV-Stable Die-Cut Decal A precision die-cut decal made from UV-stable material is applied to the board, then sealed with a thicker UV-stable topcoat for extra protection. This option works well for more detailed logos or when a sharper, higher-contrast look is preferred.
How do I get started with a custom logo? Select the custom logo option when ordering, or contact us directly. We’ll work with you on the design and placement to make sure it looks exactly how you want before production begins.
Choosing your weight
Every board is handmade GFRC concrete, so the weight changes how it sits and stays put, not how it plays.
-
135 lb (our standard): Plenty of heft to stay planted on grass, patio, or turf, and still movable with two people. It's the right pick for most backyards and also works well in common spaces like HOA courtyards, apartment amenity decks, and community patios.
-
235 lb (commercial): Built for bars, breweries, resorts, and public patios where boards get bumped, leaned on, and left out year-round. At 235 lb it takes real effort to move, so once it's placed, it tends to stay there.
-
335 lb (commercial, heaviest): Our sturdiest option, for high-traffic or unattended spaces where you want the boards to basically stay where you set them.
All three are far heavier than wood and still lighter than 400 lb park-style concrete, so you get permanence without needing a forklift. Not sure which one fits your space? Tell us where they're going and we'll help you choose.
Shipping & Delivery
